HOLI is a festival of Colours.

It is celebrated with various names and people of different states might be following different traditions in INDIA.

Gujia, papads, kanji and various kinds of snack items including malpuas, mathri, puran poli, dahi badas are prepared

On the eve of Holi, small Holi people gather at important crossroads and light huge bonfires, the ceremony is called Holika Dahan. Holi festival has an ancient origin, many stories and celebrates the triumph of 'good' over 'bad'.

The main day, Holi, also known as Dhuli Vandana is celebrated by people throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other.

I love this festival and enjoy alot every year with family and friends. Eat a lot puranpoli, pakodas, dahiwada and ofcourse typical maharashtrian non-veg (chicken).
Wishing HAPPY HOLI to ALL for next year.............
I'll be missing somewhere.........
